General Information
Background
The World Association for Chinese Biomedical Engineers (WACBE) will hold its 5th WACBE World Congress on Bioengineering 2011 in Tainan, TAIWAN, from 18 to 21 August 2011, hosted by National Cheng Kung University with supports from many other institutions and professional societies.
The Association organizes biannual World Congresses. The first congress was held at Taipei in December 2002; the second was held at Beijing in September 2004; the third was held at Bangkok in July 2007, and the fourth was held at Hong Kong in July 2009. All the four congresses brought together many biomedical engineers from all over the world to share their experiences and to exchange views on the future development of biomedical engineering.
Venue
The conference venue will be in College of Medicine, Chieng-kuo Campus, National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, TAIWAN.
There are one auditorium, 4 lecture halls and 10 meeting rooms in NCKU College of Medicine. The Cheng-Sing Auditorium and Lecture Hall I-III are located in first floor and Lecture Hall IV and meeting rooms are located in second floor.

Brief Introduction to the NCKU
